1974 TVR 2500 M
Part of the TVR M Series of front-mid engine rear-wheel drive sports cars manufactured between 1972 and 1979, this 1974 2500M utilized a steel tube chassis shared by the preceding Tuscan and Vixen models. The body was built from glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) and shared the doors, roof, bulkhead, and the windshield from the preceding models. The drivetrain consisted of a 2.5L straight-six engine, 4-speed manual transmission, and rear differential that were lifted from the Triumph TR6. Other features of the 2500M include: dual Zenith carburetors, double wishbone suspension with coil springs in the front and rear, rack-and-pinion steering, 11-inch disc brakes up front, 9-inch drums in back, alloy wheels, black foam rubber bumpers, and corduroy-covered seats. The 5 digit odometer reads: “57463”. This is 1 of only 947 2500Ms built during the 5 years of production making it a rarity today. It is equipped with “T-slot” wheels and an original TVR Owners Handbook is also available to go along with the vehicle.
